Compulsory selection of absence/pseudo-absence points
SDM experiments require a user to select absence/pseudo-absence points irrelevant of if the algorithm/s selected require absence data or not. For example, the Bioclim algorithm does not need or use any absence points of any kind - yet the experiment workflow in the BCCVL requires a user to upload or generate absence/pseudo-absence points. The absence points selected are not used in the model, and do not distort the results, however it is counter intuitive to make the user select these points when they are not needed. We a designing a system to allow users to opt out of selecting absence points.
